I grew up with dogs from early childhood, as there was always at least one dog in our family. My parents bred Medium Poodles, but my lifelong dream was to own a herding breed. In 1984, I purchased my first Old English Sheepdog (Bobtail), and in 1986 I established my FCI kennel “Modrý kaňon”, which remains active to this day. Through caring for the coat of this beautiful breed, I became involved in dog grooming, which has been my profession for more than 30 years.
After the political changes and in the following years, I managed not only foreign matings but also imported several Bobtails into the Czech Republic, significantly enriching our breeding. Many champions and interchampions have come from my kennel, including a European Winner and a winner of the Euro OES Show, the most prestigious Bobtail show in Europe. My breeding goals focus on excellent exterior, sound movement, balanced and friendly temperament, and the health of the breed, always striving for puppies that bring joy to their new owners.
Dog shows have fascinated me since childhood, and I participated in them with my parents as a young girl, showing our Medium Poodle female. Even then, I dreamed of becoming a judge. I achieved this goal and have been a national judge for the Old English Sheepdog since 1999 and an international FCI judge since 2006. Today, I judge FCI Groups I, III, V, and X and am regularly invited to judge international, national, and club shows both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
I had the honor of judging the European Dog Show in 2014 and 2025 and the World Dog Show in 2021, all held in Brno. Alongside my breeding and judging activities, I am deeply involved in club work. I served as the central breeding advisor of the Bobtail Club for 15 years and currently act as its president. I am also vice-president of the Samoyed Club, a member of the 1st Boston Terrier Club, the German Spitz Breeders Club, the Fox Terrier Club, and a long-time member of the supervisory board of the ČMKU.
